Historic St Albans to Iconic Wembley

On Friday 16th June Southern started their part of the 2020 challenge. This started off with a bike ride from St Albans to the Maple Cross office lead by Jonathan Payne and Robin Steele.

Monday 19th June Maple Cross had a nice early start at Coxley Green with a 5 mile canoe down the Grand Union Canal, had a pit stop half way to refuel on behalf of Tesco!

The canoeist then past the baton over to a group of walkers to walk the final little stretch only reachable by foot to Watford football ground! With are star guests Kieran and Kiera. Where the next team picked up the Pedi Bikes.

The Pedi Bike were all going so well until both of them broke down, resulting in failed breaks, broken chain and flat tyres on both bikes!!

The lovely chap who managed to get both our bikes up and running again in no time!

Of course the adults had to have a pit stop and Cedar school to join in with the kids for a games of hungry hippos.

From Cedar it was on to Salvatorian college, then to St Lukes to finished off the last bit with the Pedi Bikes still just about working!!

The last stretch of the day was a 5 mile run from St Lukes to Alk Elvin. Thank you to Café Nero who also gave us refreshments along the way! With of course one last conga line from Alk Elvin to Alpeton!! An image of this will follow :)

ONE LAST THING WE HAVE REACHED OUR £50K TARGET! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELP TO SECURE SPONSORS.
