Hitting the slopes
Leg two and the team descend down the dry slopes of Gloucester. Exhibiting long curving turns, Alan and Lisa, ski 260m towards the finish line where the baton is passed to our cyclists.
Testing Terrain
Tackling the Cotswolds escarpment our cyclists, Duncan and Dave climbed some of the toughest inclines in the area before heading through picturesque villages and rolling countryside. The testing terrain saw cyclist, Dave take a tumble, however he stayed in the battle and continued the 35 miles pursuit to the Duke of Gloucester Barracks.
The battle of the baton commenced as Team Gloucester go head to head against the 29th Royal Corps in a tug of war challenge. Despite fierce opposition our heads were held high as Kier overpowered the elites, winning one of the three battles.
The last leg
The team gear up for the last hurdle as they face a brisk 43 mile cycle ride to Oxford Business Park where the baton was handed to Team Newbury. The battle of strength, stamina and slopes proved a climatic end to the Gloucester 2020 Challenge.
Well done team Gloucester for a tremendous end to their 2020 Challenge!
