Scottish Fire & Rescue service were there to provide a warm welcome (pardon the pun) along with Kieran and the baton was handed to the second team of walkers from the project at Aberdeen Music hall. The team of John, Pierre and Blake set off to the Music hall.
From there there was a relay of running to get the baton to Dunnottar Castle on the outskirts of Stonehaven where Jim from the castle greeted us and generously donated £250 on the spot!! The support crew had to make a stop for an ice cream to keep there strength up. It was 19deg in the north of Scotland after all!!
Just a small cone a Stonehaven beach front
Stunning scenery and the weather helped!
Mark then did the last leg of the day from the castle down the coast to Montrose with a head wind all the way!!!
Mark handed over to Sean for the final leg of the week on a rather dark and damp Friday morning in Montrose for the 35 miles down the coastal bike route to the Tay Bride for the handover to the Glasgow office.
Safe to say Sean got wet on the way and was
forced to shelter in a bus stop with three OAP's!!!
Great pictures Ewan !!! and well done to the girls for their mammoth cycle :-) good luck Scotland for the rest your journey.
