Wednesday began at Kier Group office in Tempsford where the Group Directors joined Kieran and the 2020 team for a group photo.
The day's journey took our cyclists on a 40 mile route around Bedfordshire stopping at our SCAPE sites for food and fun before setting off for the next location.
First stop was Goldington Green where the team were greeted with Afternoon tea and cake.
After stuffing their faces, the stocks were brought out and the pupils of Goldington Green had a whale of a time throwing wet sponges at the site team.
With everyone sufficiently wet the next stop was The Hills Academy, where once again, the pupils threw sponges at the site team members who had volunteered for the stocks.
Next stop was Riseley School. Not everyone was able to travel distances for the 2020 Challenge and so at the Riseley site they had engineered a static bike ride competition to raise money for our charities.
From Riseley to the River Cam. The team hopped off their bikes and jumped in a boat, and with the help of an experienced cox from the Bedford rowing club, they made their way up the river.
The cyclists continued their journey through Bedfordshire until they reached the Bedford Borough Council offices.
Final stop for the day was the Rushden Office.
