Eastern takes the baton!

Tuesday 6 June marked the first day of Eastern's leg of the 2020 Challenge.

It was an exceptionally wet start for the Eastern team as they received the baton from Kier London and began the 1.6 mile walk from the Loughton Office to White Bridge Primary School in heavy rain.

From White Bridge to Ongar Academy: Eastern Managing Director, Mark Dady, along with Sam Sadler, Nick Grant and Ryann Peterson cycled an exceptionally wet and muddy 14.5 miles passing through Epping forest. Check out the height on Sam's jump! (pictured top right)

From Ongar Academy to Beaulieu Park: Another 15 mile journey by bike for our Eastern volunteers, but despite the rain our cyclists, Mark, Adam and Tom, made great time and arrived at Beaulieu.

To finish the first day our cyclists pedaled on for another 11.5 miles from Beaulieu to the Witham Office.
