Blue skies, sunshine and pedal power on Day 2 for Team Birmingham

Our 2020 challenge team were up bright and early on day 2 which commenced at our Eastside Locks site in central Birmingham.

Craig and Will were joined by Nigel Allsop of Goodman, representing our client at our Eastside Locks scheme along with Kevin Thornett and Glenn Cashmore from Baynham Meikle Partnership, consulting structural and civil engineers, who worked with us on the scheme – thank you for your support.

From here the team departed on foot for leg 4 along Birmingham canal before collecting their bicycles for travelling to Sutton Park. Once in the park, they commenced a run through the picturesque park before getting back on the bikes to head towards Lichfield.

A police escort into Lichfield greeted the baton at our Lichfield Operational Police Building site, along with Kieran.

The baton travelled to the historic Lichfield Cathedral before heading off on the bikes again.

Leg 5 took our intrepid cyclists from Lichfield to our County Hospital site in Stafford. Here Adam Ewing and the site team had organised a fundraising event, with poor Adam drawing the short straw and tasting a lot of cream pie! All good fun, and a fabulous £77 raised towards our #KierBham total.

Finally our gallant cyclists arrived into Stafford – great effort by all our participants on day 2
