From Essex to Cambridgeshire

Day two of Eastern's leg of the 2020 Challenge began with much better weather. Our cyclists took off from the Witham office early in the morning, travelling 19.7 miles to the University of Essex.

Meanwhile John, Alex, Tom and Freddie the dog from Wynne Williams were boarding their canoe for a paddle down to Heybridge Basin.

Alongside the canoeists, Matt (cyclist) and Bobby (runner) from Wynne Williams cycled and ran the 14 mile stretch along the Chelmer.

The guys from Wynne Williams made to it Heybridge Basin, and by the looks of things Freddie the dog was more than happy to see dry land again!

Back on the bikes: Our cyclists took a quick stop at Colchester Castle before heading on to the University of Essex for the 5-a-side football tournament.

Kieran took his turn in goal.

The last, but by no means the least, leg of the day was a 50 mile bike ride from the University of Essex to the ARM site in Cambridge. The team were in good spirits along the way and arrived to a warm welcome from Kier and the ARM site team!
