Penultimate day for Southern!

Handover of the baton is nearly upon us. Just Friday and Saturday to go.

What a fortnight is has been from searing 30 degree temperatures for Maple and Aylesford with  a storm! To Crawley sterling efforts through rain and deluge, particularly Steve Creswell's Cycle ride in his disguise a Fu Manchu (younger people - google it)

Thursday 19th June started off with a cycle from St Wilfrid's Hospice to Bitterne Park School with a little stop at King Richards School.

Health and Safety was key once the cyclist arrived at Bitterne Park which they might have needed after a 28 mile long bike ride!

Trevor White and Tim Upwood having a go on the tamden nobody knows how far they got!

It was then onto Woodmill where the Kayak team tried to keep themselves as dry possible. It was boys vs Girls. Sadly the boys won after a hard hour of rowing! good work girls!!

It was then over to Simon Clayton and Ryan James who received the baton and set off from Southampton  General Hospital on the Tandem Bike. As they were passing the home of the fantasic saints they had to have there photo in front of the stadium!

The Baton then arrived at SCCI site ready for Fridays journey good luck to everyone taking part today!
